Description
Short chips cause trouble because a wedge gives you so many ways to get them wrong: how far to open the face, how long to swing, how much to hinge your wrists. A chipper takes most of those decisions away. The Extreme X6 sets up and swings like a putter, with 37° of loft to pop the ball over the fringe and get it rolling toward the hole.
The mallet-style head carries the same kind of alignment lines you'd find on a modern mallet putter, so lining up the shot is simple. A soft face insert gives a gentle feel at impact, and the hybrid-inspired sole slides through the grass instead of digging, which helps when the ball sits down in thicker lies around the green. The offset hosel keeps the hosel out of the way, for solid contact off the face.
The head is cast from durable 431 stainless steel.
