The Heater H-9BC is a Tour-inspired player's iron built around a compact blade length and a thin top line for a clean, confident look in the address position. The muscle back shape carries a shallow cavity that adds forgiveness over a classic blade without giving up the feel and control better ball-strikers expect.

Progressive bounce angles keep turf interaction consistent from any lie, while the narrow sole and tight leading edge help the head move cleanly through the turf off tight fairways and out of the rough. The result is a compact shape with enough built-in performance for elevated distance and feel, pairing mid forgiveness with high workability for players who want to shape shots and control trajectory.

The H-9BC rewards centered strikes and gives honest feedback on the ones that miss. If the long irons remain a weak point, utility irons are available to replace them when you configure your build.

First off, I recognize the trade offs when purchasing 'most' aftermarket heads. You're always making a trade-off between quality and price. I purchased these as an inexpensive travel set for myself. I paired them with graphite shafts which brought this set of irons to about $280 for the 5i-PW, AW. I added the Heater H-9 "Spin Wedges" for the SW and LW (more on those in another review). The iron heads look even better in person than in the pictures. I first checked the faces, to be sure they were flat (a problem with many lower cost aftermarket heads). All was fine there. Next, I checked the lofts. Every one of them was exactly 2° strong, so I had to bend them back to spec. Swing weights were consistent, in the D-1 to D-3 range. I haven't hit these yet, but will report back with my findings. I suspect they'll be more forgiving than the description states.
