The Heater X-880 irons are a compact, Tour-proven shape with built-in performance for elevated distance, forgiveness and feel. A thinner topline, reduced offset through the long irons and a shorter blade length present a clean, eye-pleasing address view, and this more compact players iron has no trouble keeping up with heavier heads on distance.
These heads are precision cast from 304 soft steel, a softer material than the 431 stainless used in most component heads, and the difference shows up the moment you catch one flush. Impact feels solid and buttery rather than hard, with the kind of sensation better players chase and remember. A drilled hollow channel filled with urethane dampening material takes the harshness out of the strike without deadening feedback, so the head still tells you exactly where you found the face. The narrow sole and tight leading edge keep it consistent through the turf.
