The Professional Open Series 690 wedges are shaped the way a wedge is supposed to look — a clean, traditional head in a classic satin finish that sits down nicely behind the ball. The sole is beveled along the edges, which lets the club slide under the ball instead of bouncing into it, so you get clean contact from tight fairway lies, thick rough, and everything in between.

What sets this series apart is the loft range, which runs further than almost anything else you'll find. That includes a 68° with zero bounce — a genuinely hard club to track down and the one that finally makes the high flop shot possible. Open the face, slide it under, and watch the ball come down soft.

These are for golfers who want a proper wedge with a shape they can trust and options most shops don't carry.

Customers praised these golf wedges as an exceptional value alternative to premium brands. Shoppers noted "great feel," attractive satin finish, and solid performance with good stopping power. Multiple customers compared them favorably to Cleveland and other big-name brands. Some noted grooves aren't as sharp as premium options, affecting spin rates for lower handicap players.

  • They perform as well or better than any wedges from big name brands and got compliments on the look!
  • Why spend so much money on the big brands? Tremendous value and they work.
  • Amazing weight distribution, no more deceleration on the downswing. These bad boys will get it done.

Good Wedges

I purchased a 52 and a 60 degree wedge. I already had a 48 degree pitching wedge and a 56 degree sand wedge. I may remove the sand wedge from my bag and carry 3. I find the 52 to be very versatile for up to 100 yards and the 60 to be excellent for sand and flop shots. Both cut nicely through the rough and are smooth on fairway lies.

60 degree lob wedge - 56 sand wedge - 52 degree gap wedge

I have used these wedges before, (60, 55 & 50) and they are great!! Lost the 60, so I bought a new one and will mix as needed! These wedges are exactly what I need for the short game!!

Performance

These wedges are decent. I recommend them to anyone who is starting at golf or is above a 20 handicap. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to current Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland, etc. wedges, the performance is not the same. You will be saving money but losing performance. You can feel the difference in performance almost immediately. I used these wedges for the winter and they worked well for what I needed as a 6 handicap. I truly believe my current Callaway MD5 Jaws are better performing, but that is not to say these aren't worth the money if you're looking for a cheaper alternative option.

Very impressed just how good these are

I have the 52 and 56 in my bag and I dont think I could pick a favorite. Just love the look of the satin finish and they simply inspire confidence for me. I really dont feel I NEED the 60 but my trusty old Ping i3 60 is pretty worn and I think ready for retirement, besides I really like the idea of my wedges being consistent. Only wish they also had a 47-48 and I would replace my pitching wedge with one of these as well. Great quality and great price!

Always used a PW until I bought these. I walked onto the course with the 56 and fell in love. Amazing weight distribution, no more deceleration on the downswing. These bad boys will get it done for ya fellow lefties.

Like the look and feel.

Great value for scoring wedges. Good look and feel. 5 different lofts allow you to customize the set for your game or type of course being played.

Best Wedges EVER

Decent wedge

Obviously, you see the price of this wedge. Let that be the best benefit, but not to put down what it is. It has a nice finish. Seems solid. Grooves are not particularly crisp/sharp, so you won't be getting the highest spin rates. But again...it's affordable and quality. You can play for bump and runs or roll outs just fine. Worth it for most.

Cleveland is the hands down #1 wedge

I only use Cleveland wedges. Nothing else. But I got 3 wedges of this quality for less than 1 Cleveland which is unheard of.

Left Handed Wedges that work for Taller Men

I am a tall left handed golfer. They look great, are sturdy, and look like they are more expensive than they are. This was my first wedge set, and it took a few rounds to understand the arc patterns and distances for each club. They are now my go-to wedges for anything under 120 yds. The loft I get with the 52 & 56 is the same as my friends who have Callaway & TaylorMade wedges. I am now confident I can get my ball to land squarely on the green with a little bit of forward bounce. Usually the ball bounces between 1-5' depending on how good I hit the ball. I use the 56 in the bunker and it works well. I have yet to trust the 60 degree wedge as it usually arcs the ball too much and I haven't quite gotten the distance-to-arc ratio down. Overall, from one left handed golfer to another - your money will be well spent if you are looking for a set of consistent and good looking wedges that won't break your wallet!

Perfect game improvement wedge

Great for chip shots and even full swing at 40 yards. You can play like a pro golfer.

Good wedges for good wedge players

These are clean-looking wedges with some heel relief and a slightly narrower sole. They appeal to wedge players with an established game. Having the bounce stamped on the hosel is a nice touch. Comparable to past Cleveland offerings.
