SMT CB-3 Forged Irons

For the golfer who wants the best in workability, playability, flight control and feel, a forged one-piece cavity back offers the attributes better players look for. The SMT CB-3 is forged from a single billet of soft 1020 carbon steel, and that construction is what separates it from a cast head: the grain structure runs uninterrupted through the club, producing the dense, soft impact that better ball-strikers associate with a proper forged iron.

The cavity is shallow and the lines are clean, with no sole camber or offset drawing attention away from the shape at address. Forgiveness is there for the strikes that miss the center, but the priority is feedback — the CB-3 tells you precisely where you found the face, which is the information a good player wants and a game improvement iron deliberately hides.

The CB-3 is for the player who values feel and shot control above all else. If the long irons remain a weak point, utility irons are available to replace them when you configure your build.

Key Features:

  • Designed for the Player Wanting Workability & Forgiveness
  • Forged From a Single Billet of Soft 1020 Carbon Steel
  • Clean Classic Lines at Address Position
  • Brushed Low Polish Finish Reduces Glare

Just amazing!

The CB-3 are amazing. Looking at them, you would not think they are forgiving, but they are. These clubs are beautiful and perform impeccably. I would put them up against any irons the major brands charge way too much for.

Unbelievable irons

After 52 years of playing golf and countless sets of irons I have hit a home run with these. In a time where manufactures put so much effort in to the complicated cosmetics I appreciate the simple lines and design of this club. The shape of the head the thin top line and narrow sole make this club very classic looking. Here is the best part, made of 1020 steel just like all the big OEM's and selling for less than half I can't think of any reason not to buy these irons. Also the picture on the website does not do justice to these irons. They are absolutely beautiful. There is still something special about the feel of a forged iron and "wow" these deliver. I can not imagine anyone being less than 100% happy with these irons.
