Turner S-1 Irons

As configured:
Sale price $229.99

The Turner S-1 irons are easy to hit, explosive off the face, and long. The face is exceptionally thin and the head is hollowed out behind it, which lets more of the hitting area flex at impact — the ball comes off fast, and it stays fast when you catch one away from the center. Weight saved from the face sits low in the head, so shots climb easily and carry rather than coming out flat and running.

The matching S-1 hybrids launch high and go a long way. The sole is V-shaped, which lets the club slide through turf instead of catching, and the head is shaped to move faster through the air so you get more speed for the same swing. They work from the fairway, out of rough, and off the tight lies where a long iron would be a gamble.

The S-1 is for golfers who want distance and forgiveness from every club in the bag. If the long irons are the weak spot, swap them for hybrids when you configure your build.

I’m impressed

I am impressed by the quality. The finish is very good and the lofts and lies are very close, with the gaps right on. The feel is a little dull but not as soft as my PZZ-55’s and more than my Pro C’s. After only one range trial I feel very good about them. A full club stronger than Pro C’s (back a few years) and half a club stronger than the PZZ-55’s so will take awhile to work out the distances. I use these styles for comparison as they have been my favorites over the years.

Straight and high

I've been playing these for 3 years. 7, 8, 9, P and A wedge. Dependable distance, high flight and straight. Great heads!

I like them

I got my set with graphite shafts. Great feel. Tight dispersion. I hit them straight.
