X-Force P550 Irons

As configured:
Sale price $209.99

The X-Force P550 irons look considerably more compact than they play. The face sits shallow, the blade is shorter, and the topline is thin, so what you see behind the ball is closer to a player's iron than a game improvement one — but the forgiveness is all there when you hit it.

Keeping the face thin frees up weight that sits low and back in the head, which gets shots climbing easily and keeps ball speed up when contact isn't perfect. There's extra weight out toward the toe as well, and that's the miss most golfers make — catch one out there and the club doesn't twist as much, so the ball still starts on line and still goes most of its distance. The sole is beveled so the head slides through turf rather than digging, which helps on the shots you catch a little heavy.

The P550 is for golfers who want a cleaner-looking iron without giving up the help. If the long irons are the weak spot in your bag, swap them for hybrids when you configure your build.

Nice looking heads, feel good on flush strikes.

Look is excellent. Very consistent finish. Would not call the top line thin but maybe thin-er. Offset does not look extreme to my eye. The feel with graphite “R” flex shafts was great. Pretty forgiving in the toe side. Only hit inside so limited feel for height and carry but the 22 degree 5 iron might even be OK for an old guy. So far I would highly recommend.
